Once a former High School the Stirling Highland Hotel is home to a roof top observatory which houses a historic and incredibly impressive reflecting telescope that dates back to 1889. Members of the Stirling Astronomical Society are its proud guardians and utilise the facility for their regular evening classes that run each year from October through to March to which the public are welcome to attend.
