Located on the South-East shores of Lough Neagh the Oxford Island Nature Reserve has been recognised for its dark skies by the International Dark Sky Association as a Dark Sky Discovery Site. Note that whilst this site is open access to pedestrians at all times the gates are locked to vehicles overnight. This venue hosts occasional public stargazing events.
