Award winning 19th century mining museum set at the very heart of the North Pennines Area of Natural Beauty.  The location benefits from superb dark skies with very little light pollution and thus is a frequent venue for stargazing events often organised in conjunction with Sunderland Astronomical Society.


Killhope Lead Mining Museum is a private location and is only accessible out of normal hours for stargazing by prior arrangement or when public events are scheduled.
