Burghley House, built in the sixteenth century, is one of the grandest surviving houses of the great Elizabethan era. With extensive grounds, it makes for an excellent stargazing venue, with events hosted in collaboration with the Peterborough Astronomical Society.


Burghley House is a private location and is only accessible out of normal hours for stargazing by prior arrangement or when public events are scheduled.
