Dark Skies Stargazing Experience - The Grand, York
Thursday 6th February 2025 from 17:00pm to Friday 7th February 2025 12:00pm
The Grand, York
Station Rise, York, North Yorkshire, YO1 6GD
Escape to the North York Moors and enjoy an unforgettable stargazing experience with your friends and family. Travel to a dark sky location and receive expert guidance from Astronomer Richard Darn, observing planets, nebulae and distant galaxies through a telescope.
For this event, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the North Yorkshire Stargazing Festival – the UK’s biggest – with an invitation to tour the late winter sky and learn about famous constellations. The moon is up and in an excellent position for viewing above the matchless landscape of the North York Moors.
This event can be booked just as an excursion from the hotel that includes a discount in “The Rise” restaurant. Alternatively you can book a package including two-course meal, overnight stay and a full Yorkshire breakfast before departing!
Please note that this has already taken place on 06/02/2025
