Chasing the Moon with the Andover Astronomical Society

In support of the 9th National Astronomy Week, Andover Astronomical Society will host an evening of activities on, including:
– Stargazing using the society’s and members’ telescopes to look at the night sky including the Moon and planets (subject to the weather!)
– Short talks from members focusing on the moon, including: its own history from its beginnings and looking into its future; its influence on our history, including myths, legends and religious influences; as well as how the moon “works”.
– Displays and videos focusing on the moon.
