The September northern Scottish Skies are often hosting to the Merry Dancers (Aurora).
The Aurora Borealis can be one of the most spectacular sights of our northern skies in autumn, winter and spring. When the earth’s magnetic field is disturbed by the solar wind our skies can light up with various colours in beautiful displays of greens, reds and purples.
Join us to discover how this beautiful natural phenomenon is created by space weather and conditions on our local star.
Aurora forecast permitting, we’ll view the lights from our Field of Hope Dark Skies Discovery Site in Tomintoul. If no aurora, an alternative activity will be provided.
This event is taking place as part of the Tomintoul and Glenlivet Star Party 2022.
