Astronomy evening at the University of Surrey
Wednesday 15th April 2026 from 19:15pm to 21:15pm
University of Surrey Telescope
Scholars Walk, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7TR, South East England
Join us for an evening of astronomy filled with learning and stargazing. Each event begins with a fascinating research talk from a Surrey academic, before moving outdoors to observe the wonders of the universe.
Guests will have the chance to look through small telescopes provided by the Guildford Astronomical Society, as well as Surrey’s impressive 16-inch observatory telescope.
If the weather is cloudy, alternative indoor activities such as a guided tour of the night sky will be offered.
Events take place monthly from October to April, on Wednesdays from 19:15 to 21:15. Please note that bookings open two weeks prior to each event.
Please note that this has already taken place on 15/04/2026
