Herschel Astronomical Society informal observing session
The second Friday of the month from January 2026 to December 2026
Maidenhead
Maidenhead, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6, South East England
Come along and join the friendly astronomers of the Herschel Astronomical Society for a relaxed, monthly observing session. Meetings are held at a private observatory near Maidenhead, where several large telescopes provide wonderful views of planets, the Moon, and brighter deep-sky objects. If clouds get in the way, there’s always a backup plan with an informal talk and a guided tour of the night sky using software. Anyone curious about astronomy or interested in joining the club is very welcome — just get in touch with the Society to let them know you’d like to attend.
