Jo Richardson has enjoyed a passion for Astronomy and Space since her childhood. At Space Detectives, Jo aims to bring these topics to life by offering a range of presentations and workshops that cater to children and adults alike. This includes schools, community groups, public events and childrens’ clubs.
School visits
Space Detectives assists teachers in their school environment with presentations and workshops that support the KS1 and KS2 of the National Curriculum, with more bespoke presentations available upon request.
Activities range from scientific experiments, space-related arts and crafts right through to things such as the “Human Solar System” and “Man a Mission!”. Find out more.
Online Workshops
Undeterred by the Covid pandemic and the nationwide lockdown Jo took her practical workshops online with amazing success!
“Space Club Live” is one such workshop, a 6-week online live course suitable for KS1/KS2 children who are “serious about space”. Run as an after school event each week, starting each term; there are 3 Clubs to choose from, each covering different space topics. These range from Black Holes, theories of gravity to the “Big Bang” and Landing on Mars.
All of Jo’s online workshops include interactive live delivery, fun activities, super content and experiments.
You can register your family’s interest in Space Club Live via our website, and we’ll happily forward your details directly to Jo.
