On the 20th July 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon and the year 2019 represents the 50th anniversary of this remarkable feat. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate what is arguably mankind’s greatest achievement thus far and we at Go Stargazing are very keen to help raise awareness of any events taking place to mark this anniversary. We’ll be updating this page frequently so do please check back to see if there is anything happening near you!
If you are organising an event yourself (or are aware of someone who is) and would like it featured on our website please contact us and we’ll be very happy to add it to our events database and also share the details with partner websites and organisations we are working with.
The UK Association of Science and Discovery Centres are also maintaining a list of UK events at www.Moon50.uk and if you’re looking for an event outside of the UK please see the International Astronomical Union’s www.moonlanding50.org website.
