Stargazing in Cannock Chase National Landscape

Cannock Chase National Landscape is a nationally and internationally important landscape located north of Birmingham and nestled between Stafford, Rugeley, Cannock and Burntwood.

Its proximity to these towns means that it does not have the darkest skies; however, it is distant enough to offer some fantastic stargazing locations away from the worst effects of nearby light pollution.

The region is currently developing a Dark Skies project to help the local community appreciate the dark skies above the region and encourage everyone to help protect the environment by reducing light pollution.
