The Yorkshire Dales National Parks was awarded Dark Sky Reserve status by the International Dark-Sky Association in 2020. The region benefits from stunning scenery to be enjoyed by day and the most incredible starry skies by night. A dark skies friendly scheme encourages accommodation providers to host stargazers and there are numerous public events that take place throughout the year. A visit is very much recommended!
