Stargazing in Isle of Coll Dark Sky Island

The Isle of Coll was designated a “Dark-Sky Community” by the International Dark-sky Association in December 2013, quite an achievement for such a small community!

Given the low levels of light pollution, the island offers incredible views of the Milky Way. In addition, its northern latitude means that the Northern Lights are often visible from Autumn through to Spring and noctilucent night-shining clouds during Summer.
