Newtown Astronomy Society extends a warm welcome to all those interested in any aspect of astronomy at any level and at any age.

The group organise regular monthly meetings on the second Saturday of each month, including a "What's on in the month ahead" feature and are perfect for anyone interested in the night sky.

Full membership fees are just £25 per annum (10 meetings per year), with visitor fees to either the Hall or Zoom meetings being £4.00 per person per meeting.

Regular meetings with Newtown Astronomy Society

  • Newtown Astronomy Society meeting and observing

    The second Saturday of the month from September 2024 to June 2025

    Public members are welcome to join the Newtown Astronomical Society for monthly meetings from September to June on the second Saturday of each month.

    Light refreshments are available during the meeting, with raffle prizes up for grabs during the main break and a monthly “What’s on in the month ahead” feature by Tony Cook of Aberystwyth University to bring the meeting to a close.

    If weather permits, an informal stargazing session will also take place. Telescopes will be provided; you can bring your telescope for help and advice.
