Brough Astronomy, also known as Blackburn Leisure Astronomy Society (a.k.a. BLAS) are a welcoming society dedicated to promoting all aspects of astronomy for enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners learning to use telescopes and navigate the night sky to experienced astronomers exploring advanced topics like astrophotography. The group's facilities are inclusive and accessible, ensuring everyone feels welcome to join and participate.

    The dedicated and enthusiastic astronomers from the Brough Astronomy Club open their fantastic observatory every Friday night, weather permitting, for an informal observing session.

    If you are interested in astronomy or would like some help with your telescope, you would be welcome to join in! Out of courtesy, please get in touch with the club first to arrange your visit.

    The fourth Monday of the month from January 2025 to December 2025

    Everyone is welcome to join the friendly astronomers from Brough Astronomy Club at their Brough Observatory for their club meetings every fourth Monday of the month. These sessions often involve a presentation by a member or guest speaker and observing through their large Schmidt-Cassegrain and refracting telescopes if the skies are clear.
