The International Dark-Sky Association awarded Exmoor National Park Dark Sky Reserve status in 2011 to recognise the fabulous dark skies across the region.
The park authority keenly supports local businesses through Astro-tourism and organises an annual dark skies festival to encourage stargazers to the region.
