St Pauls Learning Centre - Bristol
94 Grosvenor Road, Bristol, Avon, BS2 8XJ

Join in on interactive experiences to witness the partial solar eclipse. This event will be indoors if the weather is overcast.

Pinhole and obscura-based experimentation to experience one of the wonders of the solar system, including viewing the eclipse through a variety of items with holes, such as cream crackers and creating temporary images of the sun while it is partially obscured.

We invite you to join Real Photography Company staff and volunteers who will lead activities to enable you to understand and enjoy this astronomical phenomenon. We will be based outdoors on the Green at Grosvenor Rd, St Pauls. Bath University Science Department students will be in the Main Hall of St Pauls’s Learning Centre to involve people with further hands-on experiments. We hope for clear skies, but activities will continue in any weather.

This event, brought to you by the Real Photography Company, funded by the Institute of Physics, will be open to all from 10 am till 12midday during which time the moon will partially obscure the sun.

See more details on our guide to viewing the partial eclipse on the 25th of October.
