Observe the lunar eclipse with Baker Street Irregular Astronomers

Observe the lunar eclipse with Baker Street Irregular Astronomers

Sunday 7th September 2025 from 19:00pm to 21:40pm

Primrose Hill - London
Prince Albert Road, London, London, NW1 4RY

Join the Baker Street Irregular Astronomers to observe this rare celestial event.

Note that the location of this meet up will be in Primrose Hill at the Viewpoint Mound, this because a high point with a clear view of the Eastern horizon is required for when the Moon rises at 19:30 BST.

No need to bring telescope or binoculars. Just make sure you have a view of the eastern horizon as the Moon rises.

As always donations to sustain our group’s ability to offer meetings are welcome from Irregulars and members of the MeetUp group who piggyback our meetings.

Please note that this has already taken place on 07/09/2025

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.

The below chart shows if and when the skies will be at their darkest during this event. Moonlight is shown in light yellow and the Sun's twilight in light blue. Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
