Moon Watch at Durham Botanical Gardens

Moon Watch at Durham Botanical Gardens

Monday 15th November 2021 from 19:30pm to 22:30pm

Durham Botanic Garden
Hollingside Lane, Durham, County Durham, DH1 3TN

Join astronomers from the Durham Astronomical Society for a night about the Moon. On Monday, November 15th, the moon will be in a so-called gibbous phase which means it is between half and full moon. This phase will mean that some interesting craters and other features will be visible through telescopes, which the Durham Astronomical Society will bring along. Even if it is cloudy, there will be a presentation about interesting facts of the moon, and what is visible on it by telescopes. This is followed by a presentation of what else can be seen in the sky, unless it is clear and you can observe the moon yourself through a telescope.

Please note that this has already taken place on 15/11/2021
