Commanding stunning views over the Ecclesbourne Valley as well as starry skies above the Wirksworth Stardisc is a fascinating art installation and stargazing site. First opened in September 2011 the location receives thousands of visitors each year.
The installation features a stone circle measuring 12m across with star charts engraved into black granite stone along with the names of constellations visible from the Northern hemisphere.
It is free to visit and open to everyone 24 hours a day all year round.
