Stanton Pits Nature Reserve is a former sand quarry gifted by the former owner, Mr Stanton, as a nature reserve in 1996. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust maintains the location, is open all year round, with excellent views from the plateau.

Stanton's Pit Nature Reserve is a Go Stargazing Site. The location has been identified by the Go Stargazing team as a good location for stargazing based on local light pollution levels, distance from nearby towns and cities and offers a safe place to park.
