The Peter Bolas Observatory is the proud home of the Rosliston Astronomy Group.
Opened on 14th March 2020, the venue was named after the founder of the group, Peter Bolas. Peter was a passionate astronomer keen on encouraging people of all ages to join in. Although Peter sadly passed away in 2013, his enthusiasm for astronomy lives on through this wonderful facility.
The observatory enables the astronomy group to extend their already active programme of outreach events. Children and young people are encouraged to visit including those from schools, scouts and guides as well as the wider community. Everyone can expect a warm welcome — we recommend you visit!
