Nowton Park is a public park just south of Bury St Edmunds and away from the bright lights of the town centre. The Victorian park is open all year round and boasts landscaped gardens, meadows, woodlands and ponds. The walled garden makes an excellent stargazing spot and is used occassionally by Athenaeum Astronomy Association for public stargazing events.
