The George Abell Observatory is set on the campus of the Open University and is home to a Meade LX200 16-inch instrument known as the Alan Cooper Telescope. The facility is operated jointly by the Department of Physical Sciences and the Open University Astronomy Club, the latter of which should be contacted for all visitor enquiries (anyone can book!).
