Garn Eiddel Car Park

Garn Eiddel, Near Maerdy, Mid Glamorgan, CF43, Wales

Site located atop Maerdy mountain and frequented by local astronomy groups all of whom welcome members of the public to their observing sessions.

Garn Eiddel Car Park is a Dark Sky Discovery Site, an officially recognised place where anyone can stargaze. Most such locations have overnight parking (sometimes with a fee); however, many do not allow overnight camping. There may or may not be toilet facilities.
