Embleton Quarry Nature Reserve is an excellent stargazing destination under the fabulous dark skies of the Northumberland Coast AONB.
Stargazers will be amazed at the starry skies above, and astrophotographers can capture incredible images of the Northern Lights reflected in the quarry lake. Off-road parking on the edge of Embleton Village enables access to the quarry a short walk away.
For a glimpse of just how amazing this location is, see this video on You Tube.
Astronomers from the Northumberland Astronomical Society use the venue to host public stargazing events.
