Durham Cathedral

Durham Cathedral

North Bailey, Durham, County Durham, DH1 3EH

Durham Cathedral is the greatest Norman building in England, perhaps even in Europe, and is one of Britain’s first World Heritage Sites. Those who climb the 325 steps to the tower can expect amazing views across the city. In Autumn 2021, the location hosted Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon installation, an incredible 7m diameter Moon globe suspended from the high vaulted ceiling.

Durham Cathedral is a private location and is only accessible out of normal hours for stargazing by prior arrangement or when public events are scheduled.
