Rue du Lorier, St Pierre du Bois, Channel Isles, GY7 9JU

The David Le Conte Astronomical Observatory, named after astronomer and past-president of La Société Guernesiaise, is located at Rue du Lorier, St Pierre du Bois, Guernsey, in a building once constructed in 1943 as part of the German Mirus gun battery complex. The facility houses two amazing large-aperture telescopes and a comfortable meeting room suitable for up to 20 people. Regular meetings are organised by the Astronomy Section of La Société Guernesiaise who also regularly open the observatory to visitors.

David Le Conte Astronomical Observatory is a Dark Sky Discovery Site, an officially recognised place where anyone can stargaze. Most such locations have overnight parking (sometimes with a fee); however, many do not allow overnight camping. There may or may not be toilet facilities.
