The Nottingham Astronomical Society Observatory is located on private property leased from Severn Trent Water near the village of Cotgrave in Nottinghamshire. A project to refurbish the facility started in 2021 and saw a large Schmidt Cassegrain telescope installed in the observatory dome. The group has plans to develop the site further, building a warm room and car parking facilities.

Nottingham Astronomical Society Observatory is a private location and is only accessible out of normal hours for stargazing by prior arrangement or when public events are scheduled.
