Stargazing in Wales

Wales boasts the great fact that two-thirds of the country has low levels of light pollution! It’s on course to hopefully become the World’s first “Dark Sky Country”!

Escape the bright lights of the south-coast cities and go stargazing in the Brecon Beacons… Perhaps explore the fantastic scenery in central Wales around the Elan Valley or Cambrian Mountains, both of which make for excellent stargazing destinations…

You can enjoy fantastic dark skies above Snowdonia, North Wales and the Isle of Anglesey… Such an expanse of darkness means that Wales is firmly placed as one of the best places to stargaze in the UK!
