  • Cambridge Astronomical Association speaker meeting

    The third Friday of the month from January 2023 to December 2024

    Enjoy a visit to one of the leading astronomical centres in the World, the Univerity Institute of Astronomy in Cambridge, and a presentation by one of many professional speakers. Learn about the most recent discoveries and up to date research with a friendly group of astronomers!
  • Cambridge Young Astronomers (7 to 11 year olds)

    The last Saturday of the month from January 2023 to December 2024

    Astronomers aged 7 to 11 will love these Saturday morning sessions in the Hoyle Building at the Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road, Cambridge.

    A theme is given to each meeting, for example, galaxies, ancient astronomy, peculiar stars, death of dinosaurs. The aim is to make astronomy fun!

    Meetings also include a short film in the lecture theatre and an activity session and run from 10.00 am - 12.00 am on the last Saturday of every month.
  • Cambridge AstroPlus

    The first Monday of the month from January 2023 to December 2024

    Cambridge Observatory - Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge, CB3 0HA

    Beginners and younger astronomers aged 11 and over will enjoy the Cambridge AstroPlus group meetings, which include short talks by members of the Cambridge Astronomical Association and, weather permitting, observing using the Institute of Astronomy telescopes. These informal sessions take place on the first Monday of each month (sometimes delayed in January due to the New Year).
