Join the members of Worcester Astronomical Society for this one of their regular ad-hoc “fourth Thursday of the month” observing sessions that take place from September through to April.

The venue is the Scout Hut in Crown East just a short drive West out of Worcester City Centre.  

Bring along your telescope if you have one, if not don’t worry the society will have their telescopes on hand for you to look through.  

Note that these events are weather dependent so please do check with the event organiser’s that the event is going ahead before setting off!

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.

Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
