Stargazing festival by High Weald National Landscape
Join the team from High Weald National Landscape and partners from 28 October to Sunday 10 November for the Wild About Dark Skies Festival, celebrating the High Weald’s amazing starry night skies!
Did you know the High Weald National Landscape has some of the darkest skies in the South East? This is your chance to take in those stunning views and help tackle light pollution at the same time.
The Festival runs from Monday 28 October to Sunday 10 November 2024 and will be packed with stargazing sessions, workshops, talks, walks, and family-friendly activities.
There’s something for everyone – whether you’re a die-hard stargazer or a local concerned about light pollution. It’s the perfect way to connect with the peace and beauty of the High Weald’s dark skies.
All events are run by local community groups and passionate individuals who love the area’s night sky as much as you will!
This isn’t just about celebrating the dark skies – it’s a call to action. Light pollution harms wildlife, adds to climate change, and even impacts our wellbeing.
The Festival is here to spread the word about these problems and offer easy, practical tips we can all use to cut down on light pollution in our communities.
