Walking Under Dark Skies
Saturday 2nd November 2024 from 18:00pm to 21:00pm
The Helm - Oxenholme
Oxenholme, Kendal, Cumbria, LA8 0LR, North West England
Join the charity “Shelter” and the Friends of the Lake District for a magical evening stroll under the starry night sky, filled with wonder and adventure!
On this guided walk, you will be taken on a 1hr 15 min experience under the starry skies together. As well as learning more about the dark skies above us, we hope to encounter the beautiful black fell ponies that are native to the Helm before descending to the Station Inn for refreshments.
Shelter will be in attendance to share stories of our work and the alternative view under the stars that is experienced by many of the people we support.
This in-person event is perfect for nature lovers and astronomy enthusiasts alike. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with the universe in a whole new way and help fight for home.
This event takes place as part of the Cumbria Dark Skies Festival 2024.
Please note that this has already taken place on 02/11/2024
