Join experienced astronomer Steven Gray from Cosmos Planetarium for a family friendly voyage through the Cosmos! Explore some of the pivotal moments throughout the ages of astronomical discoveries and space exploration, from our ancient ancestors to SpaceX and beyond. Steven will finish the session with a (virtual) tour of the night sky and point out some celestial delights that you can discover for yourself.

Steven travels the UK to promote astronomy, dark skies and space and has been engaging with the public for many years, he is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, the Secretary of the British Association of Planetaria and a Member of the International Dark Sky Association. We're really pleased that he's joined us for this years festival!

This event takes place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Festival 2021, an annual celebration of the wonderful dark skies above the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors International Dark Sky Reserves.
