Visit the University of Leicester’s observatory for a public Stargazing Night!
Guests attending this event will hear from one of our academics from the School of Physics and Astronomy before viewing the stars using our state-of-the-art 20″ Plane Wave CDK20 Telescope.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and finish by 8:30 p.m. After confirming your booking, you will receive further information about arrivals and transport options.
This event is free of charge and open to the public. Attendance is first-come-first-served, and numbers are capped at 25 guests. Please note that, unfortunately, due to technical constraints, the observatory telescope is not wheelchair accessible. The event may be cancelled on short notice due to weather conditions.

Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
