Terrington, York, YO60 6QE
We are staging an exciting stargazing evening as part of the Dark Sky Festival 2020 in the beautiful village of Terrington in the Howardian Hills. The wonders of the spring sky will be glimpsed with powerful telescopes, including galaxies far, far away. Plus we'll look for a fab three of the moon, Uranus and Venus, all close to each other in the evening sky! There'll also be colourful beginner's talks, a chance to handle space rocks over four billion years old and yummy homemade cakes. Suitable for adults and children over 5 years old. Goes ahead in all weather. A barn will be used for talks.
This event takes place as part of the National Parks Dark Sky Festival 2020 which runs from 14th February to 1st March.
- Event includes an astronomy related presentation or talk.
- Event will involve stargazing and observing the skies through telescopes weather permitting
