Telescope Help Shop with The Astronomical Society of Edinburgh

This workshop is for people new to astronomy who have a telescope and need help setting it up or learning how to get the best out of it. Experienced amateur astronomers will be on hand to help you get the most out of your telescope. If skies are clear the moon should be visible to practice on. Everyone is welcome to attend and the event is free of charge although prior registration is required.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
