Talk: The Life and Death of Stars
Thursday 20th February 2025 from 19:00pm to 20:00pm
Gilbert White Field Studies Centre
Selborne, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 3JU
This talk covers how stars are formed, how long they live, what happens to them during their life, and why and how they die.
This is simply explained in relation to what we can see in or near the constellation of Orion, a pattern of stars that many people can recognise in the winter months.
The talk is given by Steve Broadbent BSc FRAS of Hampshire Astronomical Group. Steve has given hundreds of talks at public events and to astronomical societies.
This event takes place as part of the South Downs Dark Skies Festival 2025.
Please note that this has already taken place on 20/02/2025
