This is your moment to immerse yourself in the night sky, learn how we fit within it, and what it means to be a human in this vast universe.
Dr Mark Westmoquette will guide you through ‘mindful stargazing’ – gently combining the spheres of astronomy and cosmology together with the principles of mindfulness. Through blending inner contemplation, and with a profound understanding of the universe, his intention is to help people explore what it means to be a human in this vast universe.
A qualified astrophysicist, expert astronomer, cosmologist and author, Dr Westmoquette took a change of direction some 10 years ago, to train and qualify as a Zen Yoga teacher.
This fascinating retreat includes a Qigong session (including meditation, breathwork and thoughtful movement) as dusk approaches before exploring the night sky with a guided tour of the stars and constellations, turning our attention to the universe and our place within it. A morning mindful Zen Yoga session, led by Dr Mark Westmoquette, will help reaffirm your place in the world.
