Winchendon Observatory

Description
Every Friday night during the observing season (September through to end of May) and weather permitting the members of Aylesbury Astronomy Society hold observing sessions at their out-of-town observatory located near the village of Upper Wichendon.
The events are open to the public by prior arrangement and are dependent on the weather, the status of events can be seen on their website as well as guidance for visitors. Please contact the event organisers with regards to event times, availability and to arrange your visit.
- Event will involve stargazing and observing the skies through telescopes weather permitting
- Event run by a local astronomical society often involving an in-depth presentation by a guest speaker often with observing afterwards if weather permits. Most societies welcome members of the public to join them sometimes for a small fee or donation.
