Friday 8th April 2022 from 19:00pm to 20:00pm
The High Force Hotel
Alston Road, Middleton-in-Teesdale, County Durham, DL12 0XH
Discover the magic of the night skies above the North Pennines AONB with a stargazing experience at the High Force waterfall, perfect for beginners and families!
Enjoy an indoor briefing and presentation before walking down to the waterfall together. You’ll learn about the unique landscape and what makes it special as a dark sky site.
When you arrive at the waterfalls, they will be illuminated for you to take selfies and other photographs with your phone.
In addition, if the sky is clear, you’ll also be given a laser-guided tour of the constellations above the waterfall.
The hotel offers special packages for stargazers, including meals and accommodation; make a weekend of it and explore this beautiful part of the country!
