Harehope Quarry Project
Frosterley, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL13 2SG
Join local astronomer Bruce Ferguson at this public dark skies star gazing event at Harehope Quarry. Discover the beauty of the dark skies of the North Pennines AONB with an introductory indoor session then, weather permitting, go out and do some star gazing using the naked eye, binoculars and finally a telescope to view some of the wonders of the universe.
Even if the sky isn’t clear we’ll set you up with all the knowledge you need to make sense of the night sky and find your way around the next time you are out and it is clear.
