Stargazing at Gilling Castle
Tuesday 26th October 2021 from 17:30pm to 20:30pm
Gilling Castle
The Avenue, Gilling East, North Yorkshire, YO62 4HP
Join the team from Gilling Castle as they take part in North York Moors National Park’s Dark Skies Festival with a spectacular stargazing event at Gilling Castle!
Our astronomy guides Richard Darn and Neill Sanders from Go Stargazing have telescopes pointed at wonders of the night sky, such as the giant planet Jupiter and perhaps even Saturn with its amazing rings!
We’ll kick off the evening with rocket launching as the sun sets, and enjoy fun interactive talks on the wonderful night sky within the amazing setting of Gilling Castle’s Great Chamber.
There’ll also be the chance to handle space rocks over four million years old.
Please note that this has already taken place on 26/10/2021
