Alston Moor Golf Club
Alston, Penrith, CA9 3DB
The Alston Moor Golf Club has been identified as having sky darkness good enough to view the Milky Way, and is therefore one of the best local venues to view the heavens. This event will be run by a well-respected astronomer, Gary Lintern, FRAS, who has a further background in astrophotography. This will be a packed 2 hours suitable for beginners to amateur stargazers, and it is a program that is well tested and enjoyed by other audiences. At the event the plans for a new observatory at the golf club will be available for view and discussion. Booking required.
Please note that this event has already taken place on 23/02/2020
