Come along for a stargazing experience in Aden Country Park. The event will be hosted by Aberdeen Astronomical Society and will begin at 6.30pm with a discussion on what to look for in the night sky. We will then head out to the park for the stargazing experience. The evening will conclude with tea, coffee and cakes in the theatre. If the weather is bad or visibility is poor the event will take the form of a stargazing presentation in the theatre.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.

Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
