Space Detectives – In The Night Sky

Thursday 25th February 2021 from 19:00pm to 20:00pm

Explore the Night Sky with Space Detectives! Ideal for families with young astronomers you'll be shown how to find star constellations, travel back through history and discover how important it is to look after the night sky today by becoming a Dark Sky Ranger! This live workshop is full of fun, interactivity, live activities, and learning! Participants will be sent a link to download a free resource pack ready for the event. The event is run by Jo from Space Detectives who is also a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and one of the 10 UK Space Ambassadors working on behalf of the European Space Education Office.

This event takes place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Festival 2021, an annual celebration of the wonderful dark skies above the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors International Dark Sky Reserves.
