Join the North Essex Astronomical Society at the University of Essex for a spot of Solar Gazing and some ice-cream. Fun for all the family!
Experienced astronomers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the process of safely observing the sun. There will be a range of telescopes and equipment available for you to use, so you can get up close and personal with our nearest star.
Plus, why not pack a picnic to enjoy by the lake or under the shade of our trees in our award-winning, Wivenhoe Park.
