View the sun through special solar telescopes for this special event at Leighton Observatory open and free to the public. Take your telescope along for useful advice and troubleshooting. The event may continue on into the evening should weather be favourable. Great idea for an afternoon out with the family! Everyone welcome!

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
